Went to this cafe with my colleagues during lunch. Summer Garden Cafe is a newly opened eatery shop at Bangsar. Food served there are such as the nasi lemak, curry noodles, pan mee, daily set lunch and more. They also serve different types of dessert everyday. Its a new place for you guys to try out!
I ordered a bowl of curry noodles and a bowl of fu zuk barley and gingko for dessert. They first serve me with the curry noodles. I was surprised with the portion of it. Its a huge bowl of curry noodles and certainly worth the amount you paid for it. The curry noodle comes with dried beancurd, beansprouts and several huge chunks of curry chicken. Gravy wise, its very rich in flavor and not too spicy.

As for the desert, fu zuk barley and gingko is PP’s and my favorite. Hence, we’re quite particular with that drink. This shop’s fu zuk barley and gingko happens to meet our taste. Its rich in flavor, has lots of fu zuk and the barley in it is soft. What I like most is its sweet. Its nice. One day, I’m gonna bring PP to this cafe. So you guys at bangsar area, should drop by there to try it out!

Recently me and my colleagues went to Jalan Ipoh’s Yong Tau for Abu’s farewell lunch. This shop is located near the Segambut / Jln Ipoh junction in KL. This is quite an old shop, I still remember going to the old shop with my ex-colleagues. It used to be a small shop on the opposite side of the road. Now, they’ve rented a much bigger bungalow to accommodate more patrons.

This place is usually packed during lunch. The yong tau foo selection consisted of fried sui kow, chilli, brinjal, ladies fingers, fish balls and soft white beancurd. Each of us have our favourites from this shop. Abu only likes the fried fu zuk. He can practically eat up to 7 fried fu zuk with a bowl of white rice. Isn’t that weird? I on the other hand liked their fishball and paper wrapped chicken.

When you come during lunch time, make sure u get seats at the inside area. Its much cooling if compared to the outside porch. Besides yong tau foo, they do have other stalls located at the outside porch. These stalls sell rojak, fruits, seremban siew bao and etc.

Last Thursday, PP and his colleagues went to this Penang Loh Mee at Desa Sri Hartamas. Its a shop located at an open car park, next to the Projet petrol station and opposite True Fitness. If you take your lunch there, the car park fee is free of charge. In a way, this shop is quite special because the they only serve one type of food each day.

Since PP and his colleagues went there last Thursday, they only get to try out the Loh Mee. Loh Mee was very nice. Theirs is served with a starchy soup of black sauce. It also comes with sliced thin pieces of meat, stewed hard boiled egg, prawns and sprinkled with fried onions. One of his colleague have sampled their loh mee and prawn noodle. He said that from what he had tasted so far, this is the closest to the ones at Penang.
