I wonder how many would agree with us. :p But we’re kind of a fan of IKEA restaurant’s food, irregardless if its swedish or non-swedish meal. I especially preferred its fried chicken wings. We had dinner there on one fine night.

best swedish restaurant in town, IKEA

PP ordered a chicken leg with swedish herb and lemon sauce. Wanted to get the ayam percik rice, but too bad it’s sold out. This meal is especially healthy. Its chicken is steamed, its very fresh, juicy and tender. The gravy is a lemon and herb sauce, which not everybody likes, PP as well. Everything is very healthy in the platter. The potatoes and carrot are also steamed. You cannot find anything that’s fried and oily in here.

I on the other hand, ordered my favorite fried chicken wings. This chicken wings tastes like those homemade ones. I am guessing they’re using fermented beancurd and lots of garlic as ingredients for their batter. It has this very nice fragrant when you eat it. I would recommend all of you to try this out.

PP’s colleague William recently taught him a new route to avoid traffic when going home to PJ. We need to pass by the Section 17 area. Along the way home, we’ll pass by this area at Section 17 which has a lot of food stalls. You can find all sorts of food, ranging from malay, chinese to indian food. William said that we can find very nice Ipoh Chicken Rice here.

One day, passing by the Section 17 area, we’ve decided to give this stall a try. What is special about ipoh chicken rice is it comes with a plate of bean sprouts. We’ve ordered a set for 2 pax. We’re served with a big plate of steam chicken and another plate of bean sprouts.

We’re very particular about the rice, the rice has to be soft and has that sort of fragrance. This stall’s chicken rice is just nice. As for the chicken, its very tender and juicy. Very nicely done. I like the bean sprouts, its fat and juicy too. One thing that you might want to take note is not to use too much of the chicken / beansprout gravy for your rice. Its a little too salty.
