The Hong Kong styled restaurant is getting more and more popular nowadays. We have Kim Gary that started off as a pioneer here in Msia. Other than that, we also have Prince cafe, and Wong Kok restaurant, which I’ll be introducing this time round.
As far as we know, there are two Wong Kok Char Chan Teng here in PJ area. There’s one at SS2 and the other one at 1Utama. Please do let us know if there’s more, so that we can update this blog again. Food that is served here is quite similar to those served at Kim Gary and also Prince cafe.

They have the baked cheese rice, twin sauce rice, shang hai style rice, nissin noodles, french toast and more. We’ve dined at the 1Utama’s restaurant after a shopping trip for our new house. Since PP is still suffering from his itchy throat’s cough, we’ve ordered something light, which is non-fried.

I’ve ordered a shanghai styled honey pork rice while PP ordered a beef kuey teow. We’ve also ordered a steam fish dumpling as a starter. Hehe, been very hungry after the tedious shopping. Overall food tastes quite ok, shanghai rice, I would prefer the one from Prince cafe at Mid Valley. The rice that I’ve ordered is dry.
PP’s beef kuey teow on the other hand, tastes much better than my rice. Is has the wok taste that PP wanted. The beef slices however are a pretty big and its quite difficult to chew on. The steam dumplings, hmm… I don’t like it. It neither tastes sweet nor salty. Its kind of bland. Hmm.. this dish is not suitable for us which requires strong tastes in food.
