Our recent craving is malay food. Ikan bakar, lala masak tomato, nasi goreng kampung certainly sounds yummy. PP suggested that we go to this malay stall which is located at Kampung Sg Kayu Ara. We often pass by this area, especially when we’re still staying at Damansara Jaya. We use this road to go home after our movie session at 1Utama.

This malay stall, named Idaman Corner, is very brightly lighted up at night. You’ll sure notice the stall if you pass by. They serve a lot of food variety over here, from ala-carte dishes to fried and soupy stuffs. We have the craving for the malay ikan bakar. Upon arrival, we went over to the seafood section and ordered a fish, cooked with 3 tastes, which is the sweet, spicy and sour.

Next, we went to the ala-carte section to see if there is dishes that we want. Found the lala masak tomato that I wanted to eat all these time! PP also ordered a meehoon soto and a nasi goreng kampung. For short, meehoon soto is cooked in pepper soup, comes with slices of chicken meat and its also served with a plate of black sauce chili. For those who likes it to be even more spicy, I think you can pour the plate of chili into your soup.

We like the fish cooked with 3 flavors the most! The fish which is a medium sized one, only costs us RM7. Its crispy on the outside skin. Nasi goreng kampung is also good, comes with loads of anchovies. Its very nice when you eat it with the fish and the 3 flavor sauce. So do come over to try it out if you’re at this area.
