PP and I have been very busy lately, so didn’t have time to go and scout for lessthanten food to post. Don’t even have the chance to have dinner together. So, this is another one of my backdated post. Went to have ampang yong tau foo at SS2 for dinner. This is one of the branch of the Ampang Homeland Yong Tau Foo at Kampung Baru Ampang.

The yong tau foo served here comes in soup or fried. They have the brinjal, bitter gourd, beancurd, fishball, dumplings and more. Other than yong tau foo, they also have assam fish, pandan chicken wings, vegetable. The yong tau foo that you’ve ordered, can be served with white rice or even chee cheong fun.

PP and I ordered a minimum mix yong tau foo of 5 pieces and two plates of plain chee cheong fun. We like the chee cheong fun very much, especially when you mix it with the dark sweet sauce. The chee chong fun also comes with dashes of fried onion and sesame. Tastes just like the ones from Boon Tong Kee at Singapore. Yong tau foo wise, its tastes like any other stalls. The yong tau foo that we like most is still the one from Jalan Ipoh.

Apart from those, we’ve also ordered 2 pieces of pandan chicken wings. The chicken wings that we had are not well cooked. The taste on the outside skin was good, rich in flavor and has very nice pandan smell. But when we bite into it, there’s this raw chicken smell. Yucks. Hence, please make sure that you ask them to cook the chickens well when you order for it.
