Hainanese chicken chop and wholemeal toast bread are the two thing that we will definitely order at Kluang Station. We usually go to the one located at 1 Utama. Apart from great coffee, Kluang Station is noted for its breakfast. Their special breakfast consists of kopi susu, teh, toast with kaya and half-boiled eggs.

The wholemeal toast that we’ve ordered comes with spread of butter and homemade kaya. Its toasted until crisp. It tastes different than those ordinary toast. As for the drinks, they’re so-so. We still prefer the ones at Uncle Lim because its thicker and has more taste.

As for the food, The Hainanese Chicken Chop is value for money. It comes with a huge piece of chicken, battered and deep fried to golden brown, is smothered in a tomato-based sauce cooked with onions, button mushrooms, peas, tomatoes and baked beans. The chicken is moist and made juicier by the ingredients in the sauce. They’ve also included crinkle-cut fries in it.
Kluang Station also offers assam fish curry, curry laksa, mee siam, nasi lemak and etc. On top of that, Kluang Station also offers takeaway hand roasted coffee powder for coffee lovers and homemade kaya for kaya lovers.

KC introduced us to this chinese restaurant located in SS23, Taman SEA, Petaling Jaya. He said that their claypot loh see fun is good. So we’ve decided to try it out. This restaurant offers a variety of chinese cooking. Among the many delicious dishes are the Fried Lam Yue (Red Preserved Beancurd) Chicken and Stir-fried 3-Beans with dried shrimp & chilli (long beans, french beans, & brinjal).

It seems that KC is right. The claypot loh see fun looks very simple. We’ve added an egg into it. It only has minced meat, unlike other loh see fun that we’ve tasted which has crabsticks, meat, fish cake and vegetable. Even though it has so little ingredient, the taste is still rich in flavor. I think its the sauce they use to cook it.

Their tofu is another excellent dish. The tofu is soft and covered with thick gravy and minced meat. Its not too salty, just nice. Should be very nice if you take it with rice. PP keep telling me the tofu tastes so good, hehe I think he’ll go there to eat that again. We’ve also ordered a plate of vegetable cooked with fermented tofu.

Ah Keong Chee Cheong Fun at Damansara Uptown Hawker Centre Our house mate Len introduced us to his favorite chee cheong fun stall at Damansara Uptown. Eventually it became our favorite stall as well. This is a halal chee cheong fun stall and has been here for years. I’m sure those living nearby will know this stall. The chee cheong fun here is served in two types of sauce, curry and sweet sauce.

We normally have it with sweet sauce and clear soup. The sweet sauce is just nice, thick and not too sweet. For those who like it spicy, I recommend you mix the sweet sauce with their chili. Its fantastic. PP doesn’t like the chilli because its garlic smell is too strong for him. Apart from that, they also have yong tau foo to serve with the chee cheong fun. Each yong tau foo is priced from 50 cents to 90 cents a piece.
We’ve had bitter gourd, fish balls, crispy bean curd skin, fried yu tiao, soft tofu, fried tofu and fried sui kao. We’ve ordered a plain chee cheong fun with sweet sauce and also another one of Teluk Intan chee cheong fun. The Teluk Intan chee cheong fun is wrapped with bits of turnips, dried prawns and fried shallots. Very nice one. One of PP’s favorites too.

This place will be busy at night, there’ll be a long queue. Be there early if you want to eat their soft tofu. This particular item sells off very fast. The boss is also a very friendly person. He usually operates this stall with his wife. She will normally do the frying work while her husband will manage the customers. This is sure a recommended eatery place by us. To find the stall, go to the right side when you enter through the middle of the entrance. Walk through till almost towards the end, it’s opposite Steven’s Corner.
