This is another round of review for prawn noodle. We went to the Mee Yoke Lim shop located at the old Chow Yang. Mee Yoke Lim has been around for twenty something years. You can get the Mee Yoke at a few outlets within Petaling Jaya and also Subang Jaya. The one that we’ve frequent to the most is the one located at the old Chow Yang.

Both of us ordered a bowl of prawn noodles each. The soup tastes thick and very much with flavour. There’s sweetness in the soup, guess its from all the prawns. It comes with bean sprouts, sliced pork, vegetable, thinly sliced prawns and shallot crisps. They will also give you extra sambal if you want a more spicy noodle.

Something that makes this stall special is that you can add more ingredients into your noodles if you want to. They are such as the intestines, pork ribs, pork meat, prawn, squid, vegetables and more. Bear in mind that each addition will cost more. This is another good to eat prawn noodle that we recommend. Next time, we’ll go to the famous prawn noodle in Kepong to review instead. Stay tuned!

We went back again to the stalls near Taman Bahagia LRT. This time round we plan to try out the Teoh Chew food stall. We’re very curious because everytime when we’re there, we notice that this stall has a lot of people queuing up to buy their food. We wanted to see for ourselves if their food is indeed that good.
This Teoh Chew stall normally starts their business at around 8.30pm. But even before 8.00pm, the patrons for this stall are already sitting there waiting for the food. We’re among those patrons who sits there to wait. Haha.

We got hungry while waiting for the Teoh Chew stall. Saw the person sitting beside us odered a plate of Maggi Goreng. Hehe. We’ve decided to order a plate to share out first while waiting for the other food. Maggi Goreng was nice, the noodle’s texture is just right, not too soft. It comes with egg, vegetables, onions and small green chilli. We’ve also ordered two teh o ais limau from that stall. Drinks are okay too, rich in taste.

When the Teoh Chew hawkers arrives to set up their stall, you can see the patrons are already queuing up to take orders. Wow. PP is not bad too, he’s aready at the head of the queue. We’ve ordered two of the Teoh Chew Chai Kuih, one Guan Chang Kuih and a plate of Mee Jawa.
Teoh Chew Chai Kuih was a bit oily. The one that we bought is the turnips wrapped in flour skin. PP felt that the skin is a little slimy, so he prefers the other kuih. Guan Chang Kuih, its a direct translation from the chinese words, and I wonder what that means. Anyway, its a cake of glutanious rice cooked with shrimps, peanuts and onions. Tastes good and the texture is just nice. These kuih are best dipped with their home made chilli sauce.

As for the Mee Jawa, it tastes just like the one that PP’s cousin Arthur made for us. Its delicious. They both use sweet potato to make the gravy. Mee Jawa comes with crunchy fritters, tofu, egg and chilli paste.

So far, i am buying 3 photography magazines monthly, popular photography via yearly subsciption, practical photography from book store and the local version of Digital Camera Magazine.

Before the local version of DCM, once in a while, I buy the UK version which cost a bomb compare to local version. Therefore, I am pleased today because I found a copy of Digital Photography Magazine, Malaysian version at only RM9. This local version almost similar copy with the UK version which cost RM32.50. They have almost the same tips, with plenty of professional photographers articles and it include with our Malaysian content. looks like they are taking 80% of UK content and 20% of local content.
They have a lot of camera tips, latest gadgets (Poisons), how to enhance your photos with Adobe Photoshop, tricks and tips. The magazine also come with free tutorials, filters and Photoshop lessons.
So go to your nearest book store and grab 1 copy. 1 thing to take note, Usually the current issue cover page will be the same with the past issue of UK version, so make sure you are grabbing the local version which only cost you RM9.
