We went back again to the stalls near Taman Bahagia LRT. This time round we plan to try out the Teoh Chew food stall. We’re very curious because everytime when we’re there, we notice that this stall has a lot of people queuing up to buy their food. We wanted to see for ourselves if their food is indeed that good.
This Teoh Chew stall normally starts their business at around 8.30pm. But even before 8.00pm, the patrons for this stall are already sitting there waiting for the food. We’re among those patrons who sits there to wait. Haha.

We got hungry while waiting for the Teoh Chew stall. Saw the person sitting beside us odered a plate of Maggi Goreng. Hehe. We’ve decided to order a plate to share out first while waiting for the other food. Maggi Goreng was nice, the noodle’s texture is just right, not too soft. It comes with egg, vegetables, onions and small green chilli. We’ve also ordered two teh o ais limau from that stall. Drinks are okay too, rich in taste.

When the Teoh Chew hawkers arrives to set up their stall, you can see the patrons are already queuing up to take orders. Wow. PP is not bad too, he’s aready at the head of the queue. We’ve ordered two of the Teoh Chew Chai Kuih, one Guan Chang Kuih and a plate of Mee Jawa.
Teoh Chew Chai Kuih was a bit oily. The one that we bought is the turnips wrapped in flour skin. PP felt that the skin is a little slimy, so he prefers the other kuih. Guan Chang Kuih, its a direct translation from the chinese words, and I wonder what that means. Anyway, its a cake of glutanious rice cooked with shrimps, peanuts and onions. Tastes good and the texture is just nice. These kuih are best dipped with their home made chilli sauce.

As for the Mee Jawa, it tastes just like the one that PP’s cousin Arthur made for us. Its delicious. They both use sweet potato to make the gravy. Mee Jawa comes with crunchy fritters, tofu, egg and chilli paste.
