Phew, finally had my chance to catch a movie with PP. We watched Transformers. I can say that we thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Before going to the movies, I suggested to PP that we have our breakfast at Taman Tun. Its been quite sometime since we’ve last been there. Some of the nice food that can be found there are such as prawn noodle, curry noodle, chicken rice and nyonya delicacies.

We’ve ordered a big bowl of prawn noodle and a fried kuey teow to share. Prawn noodle comes with slices of thin pork meat, vegetable, small prawns and bean sprouts. They will also give you extra sambal belacan just in case that you like it spicy. Soup wise, its sweet yet subtle in flavor. Everything is just nice, soup is not too salty or too thick. This shop’s prawn noodle is one of the best that we’ve tasted so far.

Heard that Yong Len is also famous for its fried kuey teow. It comes with shrimps, clams and bean sprouts. The cockles are fresh and the noodles fried till just nice, with just a hint of being charred by the wok. It was pretty good. Tastes like Penang fried kuey teow. Waited quite long for this plate of fried kuey teow. Think its because they want to maintain the consistency of the flavor. The fried kuey teow is usually prepared in plates of one or two at a time.
