A colleague of mine recommended us to some cheap and nice food at Taman Bahagia. The place is actually behind the Perodua showroom which is facing the main road. There’s plenty of food stalls to choose from, ranging from roti prata to chinese fried noodles and mee jawa. These stalls are located very near Taman Bahagia LRT station. From the station (LRT station is on your left), drive straight and turn right at traffic light. Take the first turning on your left after that. The stalls are on the closed road on your left. This place only comes alive after 7.30pm.

At the first stall, we’ve ordered a plate of stir fry cockels. The cockles are fried with a mixture of spices and dry shrimp sauce. Its very rich in taste, but also very oily. Didn’t manage to finish all of them because the last layer is all soaked in oil. As for drinks, I’ve ordered a chrysanthemum tea and PP ordered a red bean soup. Red bean soup is not the thick creamy type. PP likes it because its rich in taste even though watery.

At the other stall, we’ve also ordered a curry noodle and some yong tau foo to share. PP said that the curry noodle’s soup is the closest to the one he had in his hometown. They uses the wantan noodle instead of the usual thick yellow noodle. Curry noodle came with long beans, dried beancurds and cockles. As for the yong tau foo, PP picked a beancurd, two meatballs, a fishball and some fried fu zuk. The yong tau foo’s soup tastes a little bland. Its like any other ordinary yong tau foo. Not as good as those Ampang Yong Tau Foo stalls.

From the places that you’ve intro, you seems to work somewhere nearby. I have another one near by to intro, it’s the last shop at the shop block behind Tmn Bahagia LRT. whereby every goes there for pork mee. Yes, the whole shop, and ONLY pork mee. Take note that the queue is usually long during lunch hours. The last time i had it was about 2 years ago and i wait 1/2 hour for my order. But, the delicious-ness was worth it =b

Actually we’ve been staying at that PJ area all the while. Will pass by these areas on our way home from work. We usually have our dinner at these places. Thanks for the recommendation for that mapping service. Will look into it.
Cheers
