The restaurant is a corner 2-storey shophouse on the main road from Kuah town to the airport, about 2km from the Jetty. It is non air-conditioned but the dining area is cool and the ambience good. Opens for lunch from noon to 3pm and dinner from 6pm to midnight.

The restaurant draws the local crowd with its homestyle cooking. Its signature dish is ginger duck, braised in ginger and soy sauce was simply outstanding and unforgettable. Other dishes include many types of fresh seafood.

Its a must for us to visit this restaurant whenever we’re at Langkawi. After renting our car at the Langkawi airport, PP suggested having lunch at this restaurant. He’s craving for his favourite sweet and sour pork dish. The sweet and sour pork is the crunchy type, I think that’s why it it so nice. A must try if you’re dining at this restaurant. Apart from that, we’ve also ordered a cantonese style fried kuey teow, vegie and salad “you tiao” (one of their signature dish too).

Aiks, we’ve not been updating again for the past few days. Thats becoz we went to have a short relaxing vacation at Langkawi. Its a wonderful trip, we’ve stayed at a very pleasant chalet at Berjaya Langkawi Resort, all thanks to PP for being a Berjaya Vacation Club member.

Had pan mee for last night’s dinner. Wanted to eat something light and soupy after having too much of BBQ and fried food at Langkawi. We went to this shop, “Bao Bao” at Aman Suria. This shop only serves pan mee. You may order it dry or with soup.

Both of us ordered a bowl of soupy pan mee each. We’ve asked for a special pan mee. It comes with fried fish cakes in it instead of fried anchovies. I prefer to have some anchovies in it because it’ll make the soup tastier. The pan mee’s soup is sweet, the sweetness tastes very fake to me. The also gave us 2 meatballs and some vegies in it.

What makes this pan mee shop so special is their chilli. They have 4 different types of chili for you to choose. One of them is the chili with belacan, chili in sweet black sauce, plain cutted chili and the fourth type is the sweet sambal. I like the chili with belacan the most coz its real spicy. It’ll make your mouth go numb.

Those who likes to eat spicy food, I’ll recommend you to this place. Try it out, especially during rainy days. Soupy hot and spicy food is always perfect for rainy days.

Cons:

2. While you are uploading, also counted as bandwidth used.

4. Small amount of Max DB Concurrent Connection (20 users) If your website DB getting a lot of traffic, you might want to consider upgrade to unlimited package.
5. Only allow 30MB for DB size
6. They don’t perform backup of your data. Do your own backup frequently.
